About Me
My name is Isabelle Lepine and I have been writing almost as long as I have been walking. To illustrate just how long I have been nurturing this passion, I have included below scans of my first ever attempt at editing and writing a magazine, back in 2011, at only 9 years old. Peruse (and laugh) at your leisure! I certainly had a giggle when I found it.
I am currently in my fourth and final year studying French and Politics BA at the University of Bristol and will be graduating in June 2025. From there I have high hopes of acquiring a traineeship, where I look forward to learning on the job and achieving my NCTJ.
In recent years, I have had the immense pleasure of gaining experience alongside some fabulous journalists and established newsrooms. These include working alongside Senior Reporter Finola Hart at The Harrogate Advertiser between the ages of 15-17; interning at Paris Match in the summer between first and second year university; regularly contributing as a writer and editor as part of Her Campus and The Epigram; producing a newsletter for a Parisian Fashion Agency - Katy Solomons Agency.
Between 17 and 21, I also founded and acted as editor-in-chief of an online student magazine called Perspectives Mag. The site attracted between 500-800 visitors per month and at its peak had 23 active contributing writers. In addition, we produced two in-print issues, of which any profit, after costs, went to charity.
I enjoy writing a variety of articles, including lifestyle, fashion and popular culture and how these intersect in society with politics.
If you're interested in working with me, please feel free to email me on lepine.isabelle07@gmail.com, or contact me via LinkedIn. I look forwards to hearing from you and sincerely hope our paths cross in future!
